At the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship, IUP slipped to 14th after the second day of play, with the hope of making the top eight and moving on in the tournament fading. Despite being two strokes better than they were on Monday, IUP is still seven over par and is eleven shots off the pace for eighth place, which is actually a three-way tie for sixth.
After struggling to an 82 on Monday, Jackson Buccigross led IUP yesterday with a one-under 71 and is tied for 78th overall. Shaun Fedor was 4-over and is tied for 40th. Alex Swinnerton is tied for 47th, Guillermo Salazar and John Olsen posted identical scores for the second day in a row and are tied for 66th.
The final round of stroke play is today. Oklahoma Christian leads the championship at 11-under par, ten strokes up on Barry University, from Florida.
