Two people had to be flown from the scene of a crash in Center Township Thursday evening.
Indiana County 911 reported that Homer City and Aultman Fire Department along with Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were dispatched to Warren Road in Center Township. The crash happened between Old Route 56 and King Hill Road, as a vehicle went off the road and collided with a tree. Homer City Fire Chief Terry Gardner said that the cause of the crash may have been a malfunction in the vehicle. Two people were injured. One was out of the vehicle when first responders arrived and the other person had to be extricated.
Both were flown from the scene to Forbes Regional Hospital for treatment. State police say that portion of Warren Road was closed for two hours as crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
