The Youth Legion baseball season opened last night with one game on the schedule, and it was a big one for Homer City Post 493, which traveled to Armstrong and came away with a 4-0 shutout win.
Noah Turk threw 6-and-a-third innings of shutout baseball and Mark Zerfoss completed the game, getting the final two outs on just two pitches.
Homer City’s Senior Legion team opens its season tonight at 6 at First Commonwealth Bank Field.
