Pitt is postponing the induction of its 13-member athletics hall of fame class until 2021.
The school made the announcement Monday. It had been set for Friday at Heinz Field. Members of this year’s class include football players Craig “Ironhead” Heyward and Curtis Martin, football coaches Pop Warner and Jackie Sherrill, baseball player Ken Macha, and basketball star Brandin Knight.
The Panthers play at Miami Saturday at noon (WCCS).
Pitt’s big showdown with Notre Dame at Heinz Field on October 24th will kick off at 3:30 PM.
Penn State’s season-opening kickoff against Indiana on October 24th is also scheduled for 3:30.
