Steelers general manager Omar Khan said yesterday that the team is “finishing up” a contract extension for backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky. The deal would reportedly extend through 2025 and enable the Steelers to reduce Trubisky’s salary cap hit for this season. Khan did not reveal details on the extension. He commented on “The Pat McAfee Show”.
The Steelers have signed another offensive lineman. He’s 6-6, 3-5 pound former Tampa Bay tackle Dylan Cook, a former junior college quarterback who spent most of last season on the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
