PSP-KITTANNING
An Indiana man was one of two people injured in a crash in Rayburn Township, Armstrong County. State Police from the Kittanning Barracks say the crash was on January 31st on Route 28 near Tickle Lane. 69-year-old Arthur Berry was driving north and as he was going through a slight left curve, he crossed over the fog line and entered into slush on the shoulder. As he tried to get back on the road, he overcompensated and fish-tailed, losing control of his car. The car crossed the center line and hit nearly-head on with a van driven by 49-year-old Wendy Wonderling of Kittanning Both had injuries of unknown severity and were taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police are looking for one of the driver’s involved in a hit-and-run crash on Route 119 in White Township. Police say that a truck driven by an unknown person and a van driven by 45-year-old Michelle Renchko of Indiana were going North on 119 when a chunk of snow and ice came out of the rear tool box area and lodged itself in the front end of Renchko’s van. The truck continued north after the snow and ice chunk hit the van.
No one was injured in a crash on Newport Road in Burrell Township. State Police say 18-year-old Heather Lang of Indiana was driving west on Newport Road during the snowstorms on Wednesday morning, when the roads were covered in slush and rain. She lost control of her car and veered off the westbound travel lane and onto the shoulder, sideswiping a utility pole before going into a ditch. When the car went into the ditch, it rolled onto its passenger side. The car took on minor damage and had to be towed. Police say speed was a factor in the crash.
