A big win for the Indiana Junior High football teams yesterday as they beat Derry, 41-14.
Stanford Webb had an outstanding day, opening the scoring with a 42-yard touchdown run, adding an 8-yard run later, catching a 20-yard touchdown pass from Rocco Cosentino, and scooping up a goal line fumble caused by Cosentino and returning it 100 yards for another score.
In addition to Cosentino’s big plays, Jonathan Wyant had a great day. He scored on a 10-yard run and on a 30-yard run.
Indiana is 2-2 and plays next Wednesday at East Allegheny.
Indiana lost, 0-3, to Plum in a home volleyball conference match yesterday. Taylor Sheesley had 10 assists and eight kills for Indiana. Emily Madey had 15 assists and five digs. Megan Brocious had 19 digs. Mia Ciocca had six kills, while Abbie Huey and Maycie Lorelli contributed four each.
JV won their match, 2-0.
