Today, Governor Tom Wolf will present the 2018-2019 budget to a joint session of the State House and Senate.
Governor Wolf’s budget statement is set to reaffirm a commitment to public education and skills training for the next budget cycle. Education funding is one of the most looked-at topics, and in an interview on Indiana in the Morning, House Majority Leader Dave Reed said that it’s also the most territorial issue. He said that the issue is over how much money each school district gets, and how some districts seem to get a lot more than others.
Governor Wolf is expected to give his budget address at 11:30 today.
