Indiana County is now in the prime time for lovers of fall colors to head outdoors for leaf walks and scenic drives.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources reports that Indiana County is now in the best time to see leaves start turning colors and will be at their brightest. Accuweather.com meteorologist Bill Dager said that the dry conditions currently in our area have accelerated the fall colors.
Cambria and Clearfield Counties are also in the best color phase, while Jefferson, Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties are approaching the best color phase. Most of the state is actually approaching the best color phase, with the south east portion of the state are seeing the leaves start to change.
