The Purchase Line school board is scheduled to meet tonight, and while the budget will be up for discussion and preliminary approval, there are several other items on the agenda.
One area the board will focus on tonight is the Junior/Senior High summer credit recovery program, as the district will hire six teachers, a school nurse and two instructional aides for the program. The board will also look to hire a foreign language teacher, a music teacher, a junior class co-advisor, a secondary gifted coordinator and a new chairperson for the fine arts department.
Several coaching positions will also be up for hire, including cheerleading, boys’ and girls’ basketball, and assistant coaches for cheerleading and girls’ basketball.
