One person had possible injuries in a crash on Sunday in White Township. Police say at 11:52 AM, a rear-end collision was reported on Oakland Avenue. A car driven by 45-year-old Amy Atherton of Cherry Tree rear-ended an SUV driven by 19-year-old Abigale Kitchen of Indiana as Kitchen was waiting to turn onto the Route 422 on-ramp. Kitchen was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center as a precaution. The passenger in her car was not hurt. Atherton was cited for following too closely.
Injuries were reported in a crash that happened on Route 422 in Armstrong Township on Friday. State police say that at 3:19 PM, an SUV was stopped in the westbound lane when the driver, 28-year-old Brianna Clawson of Avonmore, saw a car coming quickly and pulled into the Eastbound lane to avoid being rear-ended. The SUV collided with a Jeep driven by 43-year-old Jason Bowser of Homer City head on, and then turned about 180 degrees, and hit a Volkswagen driven by an un-named 16-year-old Spring Church girl near the driver’s side rear tire. A passenger in the Jeep, 45-year-old Leslie Stains of Blairsville, was taken to IRMC for treatment of unknown injuries.
