Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says the change of date for the Week Four game against Tennessee does not have much of an impact on the team’s preparations.
Tomlin said yesterday that the Steelers will follow a typical Monday night preparation schedule, even though the league still has not said whether the game will be rescheduled for Monday or Tuesday. There is also the chance that the game will be scheduled later in the season.
A fourth Titans player tested positive for coronavirus yesterday.
The Titans shut down their practice facility until Saturday. Tomlin says he believes the game will be rescheduled for Monday. Tomlin says his players do not appear overly concerned with having to go to Tennessee and having contact with Titans players in game action.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also spoke on the issue yesterday, saying that the league told the Steelers in the preseason that if there was an outbreak, they might not even be able to practice until Friday or Saturday of game week.
Big Ben also talked about the team’s fast start to the season, saying whether they are undefeated or winless, they still have to get ready to play a pretty good football team in Nashville.
