The former site of the Murphy Building in Blairsville will be the focus of an upcoming online visioning meeting next week.
The Blairsville Community Development Authority is teaming up with the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development for these visioning meetings, with the first one set for 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30th on Zoom Video Chat. As part of the requirements to acquire the funding to tear down the Murphy building, Molly Sarver of the office of planning and development said that the property must sit vacant for seven years as a green space, but the visioning meeting will discuss not only it’s short-term fate, but it’s long-term future.
In a statement, Jennifer Nadzadi of the Blairsville Community Development Authority said that the Murphy Lot could play a big part in the revitalization of Downtown Blairsville.
The meeting is set for Wednesday, September 30th. To join the meeting, click on the link below.
