IUP has announced that there has been another increase in the number of coronavirus cases, but the spike is not as sharp as it has been recently.
According to their Covid-19 Dashboard, IUP announced that another 19 students have tested positive for Covid-19 between September 18th and 21st., bringing the total number of cases to 155. All 19 cases are students living in Indiana County, with one student listed as an on-campus resident and the others off-campus residents.
IUP reports that right now, 12 of their isolation beds are being used at Delaney Hall. Nine of them are for confirmed cases, three are for presumed positive cases or those awaiting test results. The University still has 158 beds available. The University also reports that 88 of those cases have recovered.
All students who have tested positive for Covid-19 are following proper protocols from the University, the State Department of Health and the CDC
The University had reported 30 new cases on September 11th and a jump of 49 on September 18th.
