TRACK & FIELD
IUP’s men’s and women’s track & field teams will be competing in the three-day PSAC Outdoor Championships, starting today at Slippery Rock.
Top performers for the Crimson Hawks include Indiana’s Kendall Brannan in the 400 meters. He leads a strong contingent at that distance. Brannan, Owen Putt, and Justin Egizio have combined for three of the top four times in the conference this season. For the women, Cassidy Kline will be defending her PSAC title in the 400 hurdles.
GOLF
IUP’s men’s golf team opens play as the second seed today in the Atlantic/East Region Championships, hosted by Millersville in Lebanon, PA. Ten teams and four individual performers will compete. IUP is grouped with Post and Davis & Elkins today and tomorrow. It’s the 16th straight appearance in the regional by IUP, which has not played a match since April 17th and 18th.
LACROSSE
A school-record four members of the IUP lacrosse team have made the All-Atlantic Region Team. Midfielder Sarah Reustle, attack Kathryn Burke, and defenders Maggie Marstellar and Sami Shutt all were named to the region’s second team.
