PIRATES DEFEAT THE CARDINALS 5-1

Steven Brault tossed a complete game while striking out eight and giving up just one run, as the Pirates topped St. Louis, 5-1, at PNC Park.

Gregory Polanco homered and drove in three runs for the Pirates, which snapped an eight-game losing streak.
