The Jimmy Stewart Museum will receive some state grant money to help offset lost revenue due to Covid-19.
The money is part of $20 million in relief funding going to Pennsylvania museums and cultural organizations as part of the Covid-19 Cultural and Museum Preservation Grant Program. The program will be administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development. The funds can be used to offset the lost revenue that museums and cultural organizations had during closures due to the disaster declaration issued by Governor Wolf on March 6th.
164 institutions across the state will receive a part of this funding. The Jimmy Stewart Museum was awarded $25,000 of that $20 million.
