State Police fire marshal Trooper Keith Sobecki has ruled the fire that destroyed the former Valley Inn in Young Township on Saturday night was arson.
Sobecki does not include a damage estimate or many details, other than that it was incendiary in nature and the building was a total loss. The building was broken into, according to fire officials on the scene. It had been vacant since the business closed about five years ago,
Sobecki places the time of the fire as 11 PM on Saturday and asks that anyone who may have witnessed the beginning stages of the blaze call the Greensburg barracks at 724-832-3256.
