Indiana County’s first responders had an active Saturday.
In addition to the fatal accident in Armstrong Township in which a Ford City man died, there was a call for Commodore firefighters to battle a brush fire along Vanderbilt Street in Green Township, a dispatch for Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters for a search detail along West Devinney Hollow Road in Burrell Township, with additional personnel requested soon after from neighboring fire companies, and Clymer firefighters and police were summoned for an accident on Sherman Street in Clymer.
