BASEBALL
Homer-Center swept a doubleheader from West Shamokin yesterday at West Shamokin. The Wildcats took the first game, 6-0, behind a complete-game two-hitter from Michael Krejocic. The senior was outstanding, striking out ten while walking two. Homer-Center broke through for a run in the 4th inning and three in the 5th, and added two more in the 7th. Krejocic had two hits out of the leadoff spot, including a double. Most of the damage was done by the top three hitters in the order, as Braden Dunn and Owen Saiani each had two hits. Dunn had a double and an RBI and Saiani had tow RBIs.
Homer-Center scored in each of the first four innings to take the second game, 5-3. The Wildcats put up two runs in the first and single runs in each of the next three innings. Brayden Rado had two hits and drove in two runs, Braden Dunn doubled and Owen Saiani tripled. Caleb Palmer and Noah Turk split the pitching duties, with Palmer picking up the win in three-and-two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, two earned. Turk threw three-and-a-third scoreless. Niko Buffone and Josh Kunkle each had two hits for the Wolves.
SOFTBALL
Congratulations to Northern Cambria softball standouts Laci Lanzendorfer and Morgan Hassen, who have signed to play softball at Mount Aloysius College, and to Kenzie Formeck, who will play her softball at LaRoche University.
TENNIS
In the WPIAL Double-A first round, Indiana fell to Winchester Thurston, 5-0.
