IUP’s council of trustees will hold its final meeting of the school year today.
The public meeting will start at 5:00 at the KCAC. On the agenda for the public meeting is the approval of an honorary degree to be bestowed on IUP Distinguished Alumna Bonnie Anderson. She graduated from IUP in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in medical technology, and worked in hospital laboratories for four years before being recruited into diagnostic equipment sales. She spent 18 years in an executive leadership position at Beckman Coulter, she managed her own start-up molecular diagnostics company, Immunomics Operations.
Also on the agenda are several resolutions to name various parts of the university including a tennis court, a geoscience lab and two KCAC conference rooms.
