The Indiana County Commissioners are set to meet today, but today’s meeting won’t follow their usual agenda of taking care of county business. Instead, it will focus on the ongoing opioid problems that Indiana County is facing.
The meeting will focus on moving forward with litigation related to the opioid epidemic, which has run hard in Indiana County. Discussions and consideration will be focused only on the topic, but it is a public meeting, so public comment on the topics will be welcome. County officials are set to speak on the topic, focused on how the opioid problems have affected has effected them and their respective departments.
County Commissioners say that they will try to meet in their normal meeting room, but they may change venues at the last minute to accommodate the larger-than-normal attendance for the meeting, but it would take place at the county courthouse starting at 10:30 today.
