High School football training camps are in full swing, with the first games scheduled next Friday.
We caught up with United coach Kevin Marabito, who told us that after a summer of uncertainty, his team is excited to play football.
Two years ago, United was one of the best teams in the Heritage Conference, but last year they struggled, with low numbers and injuries. This year it’s a different story and Marabito says it’s good to finally have enough guys.
Marabito says that even if they could only play seven games, it would be worth it, but they are hoping they get the full schedule of ten games in, and that’s important for his players.
Marabito and the other Heritage Conference coaches, along with Indiana coach Brandon Overdorff, will be joining us on WCCS for our annual Luther Ford Coaches Show on Tuesday night from 6 to 8 from Luther Ford Lincoln in Homer City.
