Steelers play-by-play man Bill Hillgrove will serve a two-game suspension due to a DUI arrest in June. His replacement has not been named. He’ll also sit out the first two Pitt games, with Jeff Hathorn replacing him.
With the start of the season only nine days away, the Steelers have switched their practices to simulate what a typical work week would be like. They play the Giants on September 14.
David DeCastro missed practice again yesterday with a lower body injury and the man who would replace him if he could not play the opener, Stefen Wisniewski, also was out. Defensive end Chris Wormley was working again without restriction, and running back Anthony McFarland returned to practice.
Cornerback Cam Sutton suffered a minor injury and did not finish practice.
