The Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board plans to conduct an internal review of its administrative processes after a motion passed at Tuesday night’s meeting.
The board passed a motion to move forward with a review of “administrative processes, procedures, and internal controls,” at a cost not to exceed $10,000. Solicitor Gary Matta explained the potential cost:
“We are doing some review in the business office of procedures and so forth, we may need to get assistance from an outside auditing firm to do so.”
In other news, the board made various personnel decisions, including long-term subs for both Blairsville High School and Saltsburg Middle-High School, and day-to-day subs for the district. Two employee terminations were also approved, but no comments could be made on those decisions.
Lastly, the board accepted an education grant of $5,000, which will go to Blairsville High School’s life skills programs.
