At Tuesday night’s meeting, the Center Township Supervisors approved their Community Development Block Grant projects for next year, and they include work in Aultman.
The Township approved using their $83,000 CDBG allotment for street and storm water system improvements for the Entry Road area in Aultman. Supervisors Chairman David “Butch” Smyers said that he wants to put the project out for bid in the early spring of 2021. The supervisors also approved their allocation of $58,000 in CDBG-Coronavirus aid. Smyers said the money would be given to area food banks and installing handwashing stations at Booster Field and at the various parks in the township.
In other business, the supervisors reported that August was a busy month for them, as they wrapped up two paving projects. One project was in the Coral-Graceton area, as they laid down 1,650 tons of hot asphalt in the areas of Graceton Way, First Street and Neal Road. The other project was on a 2.4 mile portion of Bethel Church Road.
