The PA Department of Labor and Industry says that Indiana County’s unemployment rate jumped 1.6 percentage points to 13.4 percent in July.
By comparison, Clearfield and Jefferson County tied at 13.2 percent unemployment. Westmoreland County has a 13.5 percent rate., while Cambria County’s unemployment rate is at 14.0 percent and Armstrong County had 14.4 percent unemployment.
Total non-farm jobs in Indiana county went unchanged over the month at 28,800 in July. All published super-sectors also went virtually unchanged in July.
