IUP announced that three new student cases of Covid-19 were reported between August 27th and 30th.
An announcement that went out to the IUP community yesterday said that two of the students were living in off-campus housing, while the third is a student who was living in on-campus housing. All three are self-isolating away from campus and following required protocols as recommended by health care professionals who are treating them. The PA Department of Health has said that they are conducting contact tracing and anyone who had close contact with the three individuals will be notified and advised on the proper Covid-19 protocol. The three additional cases brings the total number of Covid-19 cases among students at IUP to four.
One student remains in on-campus isolation after their case was reported last week. The number of available isolation beds at Delaney Hall is still at 169.
