State police are investigating an under-ringing incident at the White Township Walmart. Troopers say that the suspect, identified only as a 51-year-old Saltsburg man, was seen on August 28th under-ringing several miscellaneous perishable items at the Walmart on Oakland Avenue without paying for them. The total value of what was taken was close to $85.
A Homer City man faces charges of public drunkenness after an incident over the weekend on Oakland Avenue in White Township. Police discovered the man, identified as a 60-year-old man from Homer City, was manifestly under the influence of alcohol in a public area at 1:51 PM on Sunday. He was taken to Indiana County Jail.
No one was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Rose Street on Sunday afternoon. State police say that an unknown driver crashed their vehicle into a Subaru Outback driven by 48-year-old Jennifer George of Indiana. George was stopped at a red light near the intersection of Rose Street and Oakland Avenue. Police said that no solvability factors were found during their investigation into the crash.
