A Rossiter man charged in connection with an incident of sexual assault was sentenced on Monday in Indiana County Court.
Court documents say 42-year-old Jacob A. Miller was sentenced to serve 30 months to 10 years in state prison for a felony charge of aggravated indecent assault of someone less than 16 years of age. He will also serve 12 months to seven years in prison for a felony charge of corruption of minors and three months to two years for a misdemeanor charge of indecent assault, all of which will run concurrently.
The charges stem from an incident in early 2021 after a report was made to Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi that Miller had assaulted a minor on several occasions, and a forensic review was conducted at the CARE Center in Indiana County.
During the interview, the victim, who was not identified, reported the assaults, and state police interviewed Miller, who admitted to assaulting the victim.
Miller pleaded no contest to the charges in January.
