The 56th brush fire of the year was reported early this morning by Indiana County 911.
The Clyde fire department was called out to a location on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township at 3:07 this morning for the reported fire. Initial scanner reports said that the fire was actually a controlled burn that was being done in the early morning hours.
This was one of a few calls that first-responders dealt with over the last 24 hours. Along with that and the fatal crash that was reported on Sunday, two other crashes were reported. One was at 12:15 PM along Chestnut Ridge Road in Burrell Township that brought the Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments out. No injuries were reported in the accident and fire crews provided traffic control.
The other was earlier in the day at 10:56 AM on Martin Road in White Township. Indiana Fire Association, State Police and Citizens’ Ambulance were called out. State police have not yet released a report on the crash.
