Indiana County’s school districts, like districts across the commonwealth, are moving into a school year with a lot of uncertainty created by the pandemic. Each of the districts has designed an opening plan, and that includes the Blairsville-Saltsburg School District, which last night held an online Town Hall meeting featuring Interim Superintendent Philip Martell, school board, and administration members.
They took pre-submitted questions from the public, many of which focused on how the opening of school will work.
Martell said details on the opening of school are included in the plan posted on the district website.
One frequently asked question was about the logistics of the hybrid class schedule. Martell said letters have been prepared to explain.
Martell said the district will be monitoring the progress of the school year from the start and may have to adjust its plans quickly.
