The White Township Supervisors gave an update to a proposal made on August 12, the update regarding the potential hiring of a Recreation Consultant for the Recreation Commission.
At their last meeting, Township Manager Milt Lady said that the comprehensive plan for the position would be for creating plans for the future of area parks, facilities and open spaces within White Township. At tonight’s meeting, Lady said that it is a waiting game as Township supervisors await quotes surrounding consultants on different properties.
Lady also says this is only one option that the board is considering.
The board also approved a motion that will allocate funds to various recreation services. Services include general contractor, plumbing, electric with Stelco Electric Company and HVAC services.
Another item discussed at the meeting came from the public comment forum, where a number of White Township residents expressed concern for an Instagram account dawning the likeness of the Friends of White’s Woods. This item was discussed at a previous board meeting, and residents inquired about potential actions taken towards the account.
