FIRST RESPONDERS BUSY WITH DIFFERENT CALLS ON FRIDAY

Along with the aforementioned vehicle fire call, Indiana County’s first responders had a busy day on Friday.

Blairsville fire department was called in to Westmoreland County for a pumping detail on Front Street at 11:02 AM.

Indiana Fire Association companies 3 and 4 were called out to East Pike Road at 1:35 PM for an automatic fire alarm activation.

And State Police and the Plumville fire department were dispatched for a vehicle accident on Route 954 North at 6:28 PM.  Details on this accident have not been released.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
