Indiana Borough Police charged one man for multiple crimes including underage drinking, public drunkenness and retail theft between 11:30 p.m. on August 21 and 1 a.m. on August 22. Reports say officers responded to a call of an intoxicated man along the 600 block of Grant Street, and when they arrived, they found 19-year-old Tyler John Dumm, of Hastings was heavily under the influence of alcohol. Dumm was charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking.
A few hours later, officers responded to reports of retail theft along the 700 block of Wayne Avenue, where they found Dumm was responsible for the theft. Officers took Dumm to Indiana County Jail following this incident.

Borough police also charged two people following reports of theft along the 700 block of Wayne Avenue shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Reports say that around 12:30 a.m., 18-year-old Jillian Osborne of Yardly, and 18-year-old Erik Beswick of McKeesport stole items from a store along the strip and left without paying for them. When officers arrived, both were charged with summary retail theft and released shortly after.

Borough police also released more information relating to an incident of possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia on August 17.
Reports say that shortly after 11:40 a.m., Indiana Borough Police conducted a traffic stop along Philadelphia Street, where the driver, Daniel Bugay of Creekside, was in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Drug offense charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s district court.
