One person was injured in a crash involving a motorcycle earlier this month in Banks Township in Northern Indiana County.
State police from the Punxstuawney barracks say that on April 14th, 63-year-old John Pierce of Rossiter was riding his motorcycle east on Porterfield Road, and a six-year-old was also riding his bike in the same area. As Pierce was going straight, the motorcycle hit the bike, causing a crash. The boy was taken by Stat Medevac to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of suspected serious injuries. Pierce was charged with careless driving. Neither individual were wearing helmets in the accident.
