Indiana borough council met last night and formally approved a letter of resignation for outgoing borough manager Bradley Gotshall.
Gotshall announced his resignation last week, saying he wished to be closer to his parents in Millersville, Lancaster County, where he accepted a similar position. Borough Council also named assistant borough manager Dana Turgeon as the interim borough manager, and council approved a motion from council president Peter Broad to form a five-member committee to search for Gotshall’s replacement. It will consist of the chairs of the four standing committees along with Broad.
But as Gotshall leaves, there is a problem that has come up with the community center project concerning the power lines that go into the building. The lines are actually too close for the stone masons to do their job, according to OSHAA requirements, so the lines need to be moved, and they will need to be moved underground. The cost of this change order is roughly $85,000, and Gotshall was asked if the borough could afford the change to the project and said that the answer to that question is “a work in progress”.
Council also approved a satellite liquor license for Woody Lodge Winery to set up a wine shop in the former Tracey’s Upscale Retail on Philadelphia Street.
