Citizens’ Ambulance has reached the goal set out by two anonymous donors.
During Wednesday night’s White Township Supervisors Meeting, Supervisor Sandy Gillette, who also serves as the ambulance service’s board secretary, announced that Citizens’ reached it’s $100,000 goal set by the two donors in “JoJo’s Challenge”. Gillette said that at an outreach event at IRMC Park on Wednesday, people continued to come up and make donations to help out with the matching fund challenge.
Gillette also said that donations from other entities were also continuing to come in. She reported that Washington Township contributed $23,000. That was on top of an $8000 donation made earlier this year.
Gillette also said that she has been contacted by another person who is looking to do another matching challenge to benefit Citizens’ Ambulance. Details have yet to be finalized on that project.
Citizens’ has been raising funds to close a funding gap of over $1 million for this year.
