There is a new trial date for Dylan Dalessio. President Judge William Martin has scheduled jury selection to begin October 19th for the trial of the 20-year-old Plumville man, who is charged with arson offenses in three separate deliberately-set fires in December of 2018 and January of 2019 in northern Indiana County.
Judge Thomas Bianco this week granted a continuance on an emergency petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed by Dalessio’s attorney.
The trial was originally scheduled for August 3rd but was postponed pending the results of the motions hearing conducted on Monday. A separate trial for intimidation of a witness was also scheduled for August 3rd, but was continued and that case is now set for Criminal Call on September 4th.
Dylan’s father, 51-year-old Douglas Dalessio, is also charged with witness intimidation and is also scheduled for Criminal Call on September 4th.
23-year-old Nicholas Leone of Plumville, who along with Dylan Dalessio is a former firefighter, is also charged in the arsons. He has a motions hearing scheduled for September 28th before Judge Bianco.
