WHITE TOWNSHIP TO DISCUSS GRANT FOR AMPHITHEATER TONIGHT

The White Township supervisors will have several topics to discuss tonight, including a grant for the construction of an amphitheater.

On the proposed agenda for tonight’s meeting is a resolution concerning a Greenways, Trails and Recreation Grant that the township had applied for that would be put towards the construction of an amphitheater at the White Township Recreation complex.  The recent round of grants had been applied for in March.

Also on the agenda is permission for the Indiana Lions Club to have a fireworks display on May 20th.  This will be part of an upcoming celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Lions Club that will be held May 18th to the 21st at the KCAC.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 PM tonight at the White Township Municipal Building.

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
