State police have released some surveillance images of a man who allegedly tried to use counterfeit money to pay for groceries at the Indiana Giant Eagle.
Police say that on July 26th, they were contacted by store representatives about the incident at 8:35 PM that night. An unidentified man went to one of the checkout lines and tried to pay using a phony $100 bill. The cashier recognized the bill as a phony and did not accept it. The man then went to a self-checkout register to complete another transaction and he then left.
Giant Eagle has provided state police with images of the suspect, who was seen wearing a dark shirt, khaki pants, a khaki hat, black shoes and a red bandanna or face mask.
