SOFTBALL
Indiana routed Woodland Hills, 20-0, in a three-inning game. Olivia Zimmerman hit a homer and had three RBIs. Haley Rado had two doubles and Addie Stossel, Jayla Peterson, and Ella Myers all had doubles. Zimmerman, Rado, and Peterson all had two hits.
Despite 10 hits, Marion Center lost out of conference to DuBois Central Catholic, 9-6. Lydia Miller had three hits and a home run and Cheyenne Silvis had two hits, including a homer.
Ferndale downed United, 13-3. The Lions could manage only three hits. Kelsey Moore doubled and drove in two runs.
BASEBALL
Indiana took a 2-0 lead in the first inning but North Catholic scored on a walkoff fielder’s choice in the 7th to win the Section 4 game, 3-2. Ethan Shank and Gavin Homer each had two hits for Indiana and Nick Love doubled and drove in the two Indiana runs. Three Indiana errors helped North Catholic, which scored only one earned run.
There is Renda Digital TV today for the rematch, as Indiana takes on North Catholic again, airing at 3:50.
Ferndale outscored United, 12-4. Isaac Worthington homered and drove in two for United and Brady Coleman had two hits.
Harmony knocked off Purchase Line, 5-1. Quentin Brooks had two hits for the Red Dragons.
Central Cambria edged Cambria Heights, 8-7.
