Indiana County President Judge William martin has scheduled motions hearings today for 20-year-old Dylan Dalessio of Plumville, who is charged with arson offenses in three separate cases. On July 22nd, less than two weeks before the scheduled start of trial, Attorney Alexander Jamiolkowski filed an emergency writ of habeas corpus in each of the cases.
Dalessio and 23-year-old Nicholas Leone are both charged with 32 criminal offenses for arson fires in December of 2018 and January of last year in northern Indiana County. They’re accused of setting fires to a barn along route 954 in Creekside, a storage building at Whitaker and Rudolph Roads in West Mahoning Township, and an Amish furniture shop along Stephenson Road in West Mahoning Township.
While today’s hearings are for the arsons, Dalessio and his father, Douglas Dalessio, face separate court action for felony intimidation of witnesses or victims and criminal use of a communication facility. Both of those cases are scheduled for Criminal Call next month.
Also in county court today, state prison inmate Ryshawn Crawford is scheduled for hearings on post sentence motions he filed for convictions for aggravated harassment by a prisoner, for his actions while incarcerated at SCI Pine Grove. He is currently serving his sentences at SCI Albion.
And 38-year-old Angela Bronson of Ligonier will be sentenced today for theft by failure to make required disposition of funds.
