INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police charged a woman with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that goes back to November of last year. Around 7:36 in the evening, police were called to South 7th Street for a reported woman slumped over in a vehicle. At the scene, police said 41-year-old Heather Banks of Indiana was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was released from the scene. She was later charged with two counts of drug paraphernalia possession.

Another case of counterfeit “movie money” has been reported in Indiana County at a newly-opened business. State Police say that the case was reported at the new Burger King on Route 22 in Burrell Township on January 6th at 7:48 PM. A man and woman, known to police but not identified, used a $100 “Motion Picture” bill to pay for food and got change. The suspects left the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
State Police say one person had suspected injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday. 37-year-old John Burda of Homer City was making a left from Power Plant Road to Route 119 North and had a steady green light, but as he pulled out, 57-year-old Donna Andrufski of Blairsville ran the red light at the intersection and her truck crashed into Burda’s van. The truck then went onto the median and hit a left-turn sign before coming to rest in the left-most lane of 119 north. Andrufski, who had suspected minor injuries and was taken to IRMC, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control victims.
State Police are investigating an incident of burglary that happened between December 23rd and January 11th. This happened as an unknown person broke into the basement of 53-year-old Montey Goss of Commodore at his home on Steele Road by knocking down the plywood that was covering an opening to the basement. The person then took the items from the basement and fled by unknown means. What was stolen was not reported by police.
