Another brush fire was reported in Indiana County on Monday, bringing the total number of brush fires to 50 for the year so far.
The Commodore Fire Department was called out at 12:18 PM for the fire on Laurel Road. Commodore fire officials say that the fire started as a result of a power line fault. Crews were able to arrive on the scene and extinguish the fire, which took a little more than an hour.
Indiana Fire Department was also called out yesterday for a reported structure fire on Winding Lane in White Township. The call went out at 6:32 PM. Indiana Fire Association officials say they were quickly recalled as it turned out to be a grease fire that the residents put out.
