Star Pitt defensive lineman Jalen Twyman has opted out of the college football season and says he will return home to Virginia and prepare for next spring’s NFL draft.
In a tweet titled “Forever Thankful,” posted yesterday, Twyman writes “This isn’t about Covid-19. This is about my family’s needs, now and in the future.” He adds that he promised both his mother and Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi that he will complete his degree in communications at Pitt and signs off with the words, “Forever a Pitt man!”
Narduzzi tweeted, “We will miss you, Jaylen. Always a Pitt Man. Forever a Panther.”
