State Police say slush on the road was part of the reason a Clymer woman crashed her car on Monday afternoon. State Police say around 4:05 PM, 68-year-old Christine Dobies was driving west on Route 580 when she hit a patch of slush and lost control of her car. The car hit a utility pole just off the roadway. Dobies was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of an injury of unknown severity.
State Police say no one was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 286 in White Township. The crash happened on January 8th at 7:20 PM near Lutz School Road. 38-year-old Shanell Lydic of Cherry Tree was driving East on Route 286 when her car went off the North side of the roadway. The car hit a metal fence post and a group of mail boxes before coming to rest off the North side of the road. Neither Lydic nor her passenger, 59-year-old Nancy Piper of Clymer were injured.
