WHITE TOWNSHIP
State police have not released any details on an investigation of the alleged indecent assault of a 4-year-old girl in White Township.
Police say only that the incidents occurred between November 1st and December 21st, and that the allegation was reported via the state’s ChildLine service. ChildLine is an information, counseling, and referral service designed to help safeguard children. It includes a toll-free phone number, 1-800-932-0313, that is available round-the-clock to receive reports of suspected child abuse.
GREEN TOWNSHIP
Charges have been filed against a Cherry Tree man accused of choking a woman in Green Township on New Year’s Day. 53-year-old Dennis Keith Curtis is charged with felony strangulation, along with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment for the incident along Grisemore Road. Police say he punched the 50-year-old woman, pushed her to the ground, and began choking her.
Curtis was taken into custody on the same day as the incident and remains in the Indiana County Jail, with bond set at $5,000 and a preliminary hearing set for today before District Judge Jennifer Rega.
