On Tuesday night, Blairsville Borough Council heard from police Chief Lou Sacco about the state of the holding cell in the police station.
Sacco gave a presentation to the borough on the current status of the cell, and how it could be improved, including changing the chair to a bench, adding a toilet, and reinforcing the walls and putting a new door in place. Sacco said that what he presented was a design plan that was discussed between him and another officer, but this is still in the early phases.
In other business, the borough will move forward with modifications to the borough’s website. The upcoming improvements will combine the borough’s website with the Blairsville Municipal Authority website in an effort to make the borough website more user-friendly.
