The Penguins will be back in action tonight when they take on the Montreal Canadiens in the qualifying round of the playoffs inside the NHL bubble in Toronto. The Pens lost 3-2 in overtime in Game One of the best-of-five series on Saturday.
Coach Mike Sullivan said yesterday he saw a lot of good things from his team when he reviewed the tape of the game.
Responding to a question about getting more players to the net to screen Montreal goaltender Carey Price, Sullivan said it’s what they preach to the entire team.
Montreal’s top three defensemen played a lot of minutes on Saturday, and Sullivan says the Penguins need to pressure them more if they’re going to play that much.
Sullivan would not say if he planned any lineup changes for tonight’s game, which faces off at 8 PM (6:30 airtime on 92.5 FM U92 and the U92 Sportschannel).
